Creaking front end?

Ok, I'm a complete newbie when it comes to these cars. I hit a pretty big bump today and immediately after I felt a lot of vibration in the pedals for about 80ft or so. My car now makes a lot of creaking noises while I'm driving and I have no idea what it is. I just got the car Tuesday and I don't wanna break anything yet! Any ideas what it could be?

What car? Saloon or estate?

Does it still drive streight? On open clear level road at about 30mph hands off steering wheel. Any drift to nearside or off side? Then gently brake. Any drift then?

Get yourself a full tracking laser check. Over here have used Hunter-equipped franchise twice with good results. In taking car onto ramp to fit the laser targets the techie will also see what's underneath if anything obviously bent. They give a before and after printout against what the tracking specs should be

How are your tyre pressures? Do they stay the same overnight? Any vibration at various speeds?

Oh man, forgot the most important piece of information. It's a 2006 Passat. I don't see anything out of the ordinary underneath but then again I didn't lift it. There's no drifting side to side from what I've noticed and I've driven it another 70 miles since. I'll probably just have the dealer look at it when I bring it to them tomorrow, it's still under warranty so I'm all set with those pricey repairs :D
