this is my first post here and i want to thank you for any help.

i have a 99 Passat V6 Automatic with 110,000 miles.

this is my wife's vehicle and i just took it to get washed and there is something causing some issues on this car.

After i start the car it begins to beep on and off usually like 5 beeps about 2 seconds long. it will do this every 3 or 4 minutes forever. along with the beeps it has the following problems:

1. check engine light is on
2. the brake and oil light are flashing
3. the ABS light is also on
4. the tachometer stops working when this happens

i went to Autozone hoping to have it tested and buy a sensor or relay and be on my way but they were unable to diagnose the exact problem. i am trying to avoid having the dealer replace a bunch of stuff only to have it not fixed right away and get the old " well those other things needed to be replaced anyway" ;)

the test showed codes"

PO411 - second air injector system incorrect flow
PO432 - something about the catalyst being below threshold

we looked these codes up and there were many (about 5) possibilities as to what it could be.

does this information help anyone with trying to diagnose this problem?

thanks

x2 on the ABS Module being bad. Fix that first, then clear the codes and re-post after. My name is on the ABS module list as well.

BTW, Autozone cannot tell if the ABS module is bad using their OBD2 reader. A VAGCOM is needed to check communications between the ECU and the ABS module. But when the module goes bad, it take some communications with it, creating the faulty tach, oil pressure, ABS and Brake lights.

It is OK to drive the car without the ABS module, but you will standard brakes, not have ABS. Expect to pay about $200 plus freight. The DIY is on the ModuleMasters website.
