Hi all,
First time changing/flushing the transmission and coolant fluids on a 2016 vw passat s model.. internet is pointing to universal fluids like valvoline ATF/pennzoil ATF and Peak antifreeze brands. Is it ok to go with these brands?
thanks and cheers,

I generally shy away from ANY universal fluids for VW/Audi vehicles. Engine oil is a pretty standard thing though.

The transmission should be an 09G Aisin brand transmission. Use the appropriate fluid for that transmission. For THAT it's ok to use Valvoline Maxxlife ATF as it meets their certification. You can also buy the Toyota fluid as that trans is used in many Toyota vehicles. I believe it is T-4 or WS

Coolant is pretty specific. This is what I'd recommend: Zerex G40. It needs to be 50/50 diluted with Distilled water unless indicated otherwise. It is a Euro only Violet colored coolant.
