I recently had an issue where the driver side front and rear floor were soaked from the rain. Did some searching and it was not sunroof drains, not the drain under cowling (wipers were a pain to remove), not the cabin air filter, not drains under battery.
As it turns out I had about 10 years of leaves and such that made their way down between the wheel well liner and the front of the car as result water could not drain to ground so made its way into car. Fix was to remove the front wheel, use a torx bit to unscrew the plastic wheel well liner to get access to clean all the leaves and muck out of there. Floor is now dry
