I need to replace the timing belt on my wagon and I do not have the ability to do it myself. Any ballpark estimate on what this is going to run me? I have not yet had a good experience with VW dealerships and I have been to 3 different ones. I know it all depends on other work that may need to be done but I am just trying to get a good estimate.
I have a garage that I have taken it to in the past that did a good job for a reasonable price and they quoted me $1000 but I thought that was high. Thoughts?
