'00 brake pads on a '99?

hey i gotta question --

i'm replacing the pads and rotors on my '99 B5 with some brembo rotors, and i'd like to get some PBR ultimate ceramic pads. the only set i've found says its for 2000-2005 passats --- will these still go on my '99? i believe the only difference is the addition of a break wear sensor that is attached to them...

could i get away with using these anyway?

At some point the 98-99 cars had smaller rotors too. When you order your pads you will need to have your build date.

ImportRP from that group buy will know which pads/rotors are right for you, just have your build date.
