Thanks Shummer. I very quickly looked at the TSX but did not look at the price. I went and took a closer look and you have something there. I think the Mazda is definitely out now. Do you have or have you driven the TSX. It looks sharp. Is there any pros or cons to the TSX. Thanks again.

Only complain I have about the TSX is that it's torqueless power. I'm sure you can pull some more out but it's like driving a 4door RSX.

The Mazda 6 is coming out in Turbo version soon. Why not wait to drive that?

274HP All wheel drive....
Wow, if they can pull it off without a lot of plastic and Too Fast, Too Furious design cues it should be a nice ride. I bet it's a lot louder than the passat though.

Just looked at the website more, Interesting intercooler design and direct injection. Exterior isn't too bad either. Looks like a fun car.

Like shuPASSAT said, there is no torque. I test drove one w/ my co-worker because he was in the market for a new car (Audi A4, Acura TSX, Volvo S40). I really wanted to experience and feel the VTEC kick in but there was no pronounced time when I felt it. Some people like the smoothness, but I was hoping for a real thrill - which I hear is what you get in the RSX Type-S, older Prelude models, and older Integra models. Disappointing in that aspect. I really enjoy the torque of a turbo car and their response here at altitude despite their HP rating. The TSX might be a hair smaller too in regards to back seat room which is a negative in my situation.

You get a lot of snow where you're at so I understand wanting to get AWD. Keep shopping. There other cars out there that you haven't mentioned (Nissan Altima, Subaru Legacy GT, Honda Accord V6) that come in manual, offer significantly more HP, and a plethora of options/features for similar prices. Back in 2000, I can say there wasn't much to choose from (Maxima, Accord, Camry, or Passat). But now, you can get some serious bang for your buck.

lol...man I HAAAAAAAAAAAATE the Too Fast Too Furious Look...there was a time in my life I actually thought sinking 20g's into a $10,000 car was cool. Just save your money a little more and buy an Audi or Beamer and leave it the hell alone ;)

I think Car and Driver had the new Mazda6 Turbo in there Feb issue.. I'll dig it up and get some info from it.

Here is a pic from www.thecarconnection.com

“I always wondered what would happen if you cranked up the zoom-zoom a bit,” said Odell, referring to Mazda’s well-known advertising tagline. The answer, apparently, is a new, high-performance version of the mid-size Mazda6. To be launched in Europe in early 2005, the Mazda6 MPS delivers about 255 horsepower through an all-wheel-drive powertrain. It boasts a beefed-up suspension, and oversized disc brakes. A version will be added to the U.S. lineup, as well, under the nameplate of Mazdaspeed6.

The Mazdaspeed6 is coming. LoL true about how consumers here drive there cars as appliances.

From Mazdas site.

Coming in early summer, the MAZDASPEED6 will feature a direct-injected turbocharged 2.3L engine, 6-speed manual, all-wheel drive, a modified suspension, 18-inch alloy wheels and a significantly more rigid body structure. Aggressive, yet sophisticated styling enhancements plus the practicality of mid-size accommodations complete what will be Mazda's ultimate performance sedan.

what kind of question is that?

Only one aspect! After 160 kM/h no more safety in m6...what about brakes?...more optional in M6...Marketing strategy...how U want them to sell...what are those...cars?
Go for German CARS...may be the only CARS...
