Tried everything - but can someone tell me what this is for?

I cannot find any 2-4 fasteners to which this cargo(?) net would attach. It was left in the car by my godmother when I bought it from her. Any ideas?

what year is your car? i have a 2001 sedan and i've never seen that, maybe it was only in the wagon, i don't know

I am starting to wonder if it doesn't even belong to the car at all....

That's nice can you not attach it to the cargo restraints in the trunk. I have four chrome loops in there but never figured out what to do with them. I got no net in my car (2001).

Take that net and put one of these on each corner:

Now, see that metal loop in the corner closest to the seat back? You should have a total of 4 of them. Attach the clips to the loop. Hopefully the net is big enough to reach all four corners.

I hear the VW net is really expensive. A good alternative (and cheaper too) is the Mercedes net. Or JCWhitney has them:

I saw a net like that in the trunk of a 99 Jetta. In the bag with a VW part number were some clips and screws. We could not figure out where it went. Didnt find a place in my B5 either. Sorry I guess that wasnt much help.

There are chrome loops in you trunk that swing out. Go buy some ''s" hooks to strap it down
