Evo5s Wheels Rubbing with 245/40R18 Front Tires: Solutions and Rear Tire Fit?

I think you need 225/40/18 tires.

Hey Vinny -- how wide are the rims? I'm thinking that yes, those are a little too wide -- 225/40-18 is the proper "plus three" size, though you may be able to get away with 235/40-18. Depends on how lowered you are, and if you have your fenders rolled or not.

Thanks for the info guys, im gonna be picking up those 225/40/r18 tires when i get a chance and sell the 275/35R18 tires. Would it be ok to put 245/40R18 in the rear? Thanks again

I have 18x8 evo 5 with 245 40 18 all the way around with 3mm on all four corners and it never rubs and rides like a dream. Don't buy new tires if the ones you have have good tread. I bought my wheels and the tires were on it and almost new, so I made some test spacers and ended up w/ the 3mm and it does not rub the front control arm at all. Let me know if this helps.

thanks mike, im gonna keep the 245/40/18 on the back and pick up two 225/40/18 for the fronts so i dont need to pick up spacers. Thanks again! and throw up some pics of the b5 and evo5s when you get a chance
