I dont get it. Your saying you paid VW for a warantee package on a 10 year old car? How does it work?

Apparently they offer coverage to cars 'up to 9 model years old.' also there are clauses excluding known preexisting defects. I personally was burned by an extended warranty company that overextended itself and went bankrupt, so I'd be very cautious. The website is run by Vaden Volkswagen of GA, a VW dealer, but these offerings do not appear to be from VW corporate. The website doesn't make that clear until you read the fine print. The warranty program is managed by BDC Warranty and the warranty contract itself is underwritten by Fidelity Warranty Services . I don't know much about them, but this website has a lot of consumer complaints about them.

Fidelity is good.. Always had good dealings with them as a service advisor. Don't know about the "managed by BDC Warranty" part though.

I would've asked questions before dropping $2700.

Personally I think it's a waste. Especially since I do almost all of the work on my cars.
