my friends got a passat v6 and i haven't seen one exhaust for a v6. does that mean if he wanted one he'd have to buy pipes and have a shop custom bend them and everything?

anyone just do a weld on tip? he isnt looking for some massive performance increase just wants a different sound i guess?

If he is not looking to supercharge and increase performance, then...

Just cut off the 40lb suitcase resonator and weld in a resonator and pipe. Wallah.

A nice deep sound without the raspiness. And only cost about $50 (as opposed to a $800 V6 cat-back).

Maaaaaaaany people on this board have done this and are happy with the outcome.

I just don't want something really loud, even if it is nice and deep. And droning is something i really don't want, I'm cruising a lot on the highways and if there is droning at low rpm then I'm gonna kill myself. That's why i asked about sound clips, not to say your setups sound ricey, but to see if they were equal in my taste in loudness and tone. the few videos on youtube gave me some sort of idea but there are very few and don't really go into detail of what they did or what actual muffler they used from say magnaflow.
