Do you have the muffler installed first or do you have the cutout done first? Would you have a muffler shop do the cutout or a bodyshop or DIY?

Definetely have the Bodyshop do that. Whatever you do don't put that piece on that surrounds the pipes 'cause it looks fugly!

i think he means the pieces that are actually on the pipes, not the surrounding trim. and he's right, they are fugly. the exhaust blend itself should be done by a body shop, not a muffler shop. if you crafty it isnt too bad to diy.
