I finally got my XM in my car. I ahve to say this thing is the bomb. Even though chicago has pretty decent FM radio programming (atleast compared to Podunk USA) XM still hands down beats is.

with this and my iPod now hooked up, I am ready for the cross country trip!

What system, how connected to HU, etc...

I'll try to take some pictures tomarrow.

I have:

Pioneer Premier 430 head unit
Running back to a JBL 600.1 (600x1) powering
Two Infinity Kappa Perfect 10.1 Subwoofers
Also a HiFonics Taurus X (50x4) powering
Infinity Kappa Components in front
and Infinity Kappa 3 way coaxials in the rear.
Lightening Audio 1 Farad Cap
Pioneer Deh-903xm XM reciever
Terk SR-2 XM Antenna
Various wire
Apple 20 gig iPod

whew!

I think thats it?

I also finally got mine all hooked up and hid the wires the way I wanted this weekend. Originally I was running it with the FM modulator and the reciever unit velcroed under the dash on the passenger's side (very getto). That was not the way I wanted, but it was good enough for my quick install before heading out to Vegas.

Finally, I got my Blitzsafe adaptor and put the XM unit where CD changer would go. Sound is better than with the FM modulator.
