Will Shareware version of vag-com adapt throttle body?


Ok I found someone with a vag-com but doesn't own a b5, How EXACTLY do you adapt your TB after cleaning it. I will be cleaning it at my house then planning on driving it (if it starts) to meet him. Anything special I should know? Tips on cleaning my TB? Starting after reinstalling the TB? I looked at ross tech but not owning a vag-com myself it's confusing. :???:

Also is there a page I can go to the explains how to read codes and clear them?

One more thing while I've got use of the vag is there anything else I should do?????

as for reading codes, click on the module you wanna check, and there should be a button labelled "fault codes" or something like that. if the vag-com is registered, then it'll give a detailed description of each fault, otherwise, it would just give a detailed description of the first fault. you can refer to the bentley for a detailed description on the codes too.

if you have an auto, you can also put on sport mode and what not. also, you can change certain convenience options, like at what speed the doors will lock, and whether the unlock button on the alarm would unlock just the driver's door, or all the doors.
