So if the offset of my stock Adelades is 35mm and the Audi wheels are 42mm, will they push out the edge of the fender more?

That's the look I'm going for.

Just the opposite. The higher the offset, the closer the tire to the strut (wheel width being equal).

However, the Adelaides on my '99 are 45 offset (you may want to recheck yours), so a 42 would push out a bit like you want.

If your replacement wheels are 7.5 inch or wider, as compared to the Adelaide's 7, that will give you more wheel (and, presumably tire) in both directions.

works fine... Had a set on my 99' variant. Now they are on my 99' A4. Hard to say which car they looked better on...

There wider rims so you will see a difference in how much they "pop out" vs. stock

thank u...

They are both stock... the A4 being the "sport" supension.

The lower profile tires make for a bigger gap... Many will say you should lower after going to 17's but I thought it looked fine on the variant... kinda sporty and ready for action if u kno what i mean...
