widebody kit

anyone have any take on the ludwig widebody kit for the passat? i personally like it.

edit: just now found out about dubtechnik, their kit is 1450

IMHO any kit for the passat with a roof-scoop, tall spoiler, and super busy sideskirts turn me off. Not to mention the deep dish, chrome rims that scream put me on an american vehicle.

But that's just my opinion. As I always say though, to each his own, so if you like it I say go for it :thumbup:

it doesn't come with the spoiler, scoop etc..i just saw a widebody kit on a golf and it looked nice, idk just something im considering..something different

Please don't waste 2k on that body kit that you'll constantly get shit for.

It also ruins the whole german look of the car. You might as well drop a B16 engine in it.

Why would he get shit for it? That kit made one of the best Passats this site has ever seen imho

You could do some serious performance upgrades for $2k, then the car would be fun to drive and not just fun to look at (if you find that type of look attractive). But hey, to each their own. It's your money.

They don't look horrible in my opinion but also don't look good either. As others have said, 2k is a lot to spend on something strictly cosmetic. It also seems strange to me to invest(that term is used loosely) half the amount your car is worth into doing something like that.

I really like the one from dubtecknik, do whatever you want with your car man. If I had the money and a good shop to install it I would get it

well on my car i already have to replace the driver side fender, front and rear bumper, and i was already looking at an aftermarket front end that cost about 600, the kit is only 1450

another reason is my rims that i have now poke out some..maybe ill have a good body shop just do my fenders and call it a day? isn't it called fender flaring?

Maybe not everyone's cup of tea but you have to applaud this guy for his efforts and work.

I haven't owned any dubtechnik stuff so I wouldn't know just showing what he said about it.

you will spend a lot more then 1450 by the tome you have it installed, bondo'ed painted etc...... probably more like 3000.
