I don’t know how I ended up there, but I was looking at an engine supplier web site... well, car stuff interests me -oh, I know, it was “if my timing belt broke, would I just buy a 500 hp short block race engine and hide it under the hood in stealth mode to replace the broken inference engine from VW? (Along with the appropriate clutches, transmission etc to suit). With an Armytrix muffler system, it might shock anyone nearby on startup. (Hmmm YouTube channel?) Aaaaaanyway... that engine site said their initial start procedure should ONLY use regular oil and only synthetic oil after completely running through that procedure. Why? Why isn’t synthetic ok for a brand new engine?

The piston rings need to break in so synthetic oil would stop the engine from this process. After the break in process use the slippery synthetic oil!
