just wondering how many fellow B5'ers use their A/C, I personally never use mine just because the mileage isn't that awesome to begin with, for those that do use their A/C do you see a big difference in mileage?

With the 1.8t I avg 24 MPG.... alot of the time I am sitting in Traffic. At Highway speeds I don't notice a diff in my MPG's but when sitting in traffic I do notice a 20% lower MPG with my AC on.

I get around 28-30 MPG when using A/C.

I'd rather not sacrifice comfort for an extra 20 miles per tank.

About 8 to 10% less mpg with A/C on, doesn't matter if highway or city. But living in FL, pretty much have to use it 6 months out of the year (at least).

I won't sacrifice my comfort either, otherwise I'd be driving a bare-bones economy car.

In Tucson and Phoenix we don't have the luxury of being able to be in your car sans AC without literally ceasing to exist.

DFW Area. Not an option.

I lose 15-20% mileage city (goes from around 25-26 to 22-23)

On 105 degree days, it really sucks the power out of the car as well.

I can still achieve just over 30mpg @75-80mph highway w/ ac on('01 V6 5MT)

but I can hardly go anywhere w/o ac ,and in traffic most of the time.
I live in Southern Louisiana, its HOT and MUGGY, ac is a MUST.

AC only gets switched on for 90+ temps or when hauling the family, it's not the mileage, it just drives like a dog with AC. I have noticed that the difference is less noticeable since I had a snub mount and test pipe installed.

Here, it's the heat AND the humidity. Summer starts in May and ends in October. My A/C will be on even if it does drop my mileage down by 10%.

I didn't buy a pretty fancy car like this to not turn on the gadgets I paid for. I'm enjoying my nice Climatronic and pollen filter to the max.

This evening I watched my car temp gauge hit 135F. I know it's reading high (about that time I passed a sign reading 96), but I keep the a/c on with recirculate these days.

I live in Florida gets way to hot to have an a/c and not use it... i still put out 28-30 mpg...

a.cs are made for a reason..what horse power are youy losing compare to quality of comfort ..if you are worring about gas mileage buy a hyrbid ...

I use it 50 / 50 - I see a 10% hit too.

But, I can still maintain average of 28 - 30 on a commute of 30 miles (8 back road and 22 highway) Of course, I'm staying out of boost a lot.
