spring break fever is in high gear here in florida. so, a few friends and I jump in my wagon and head down to clearwater beach to cruise around a bit. for the first time since lowering my car and slappin some wheels on it did i notice people turning their heads. i even had a few 'nice ride' shout outs. Even though one of them was from an old dude riding a beach cruiser. Well, at least he had good taste :)

Can't wait for either a Votex kit or painted lowers. mmmm.

The pics are not super fresh..just posted them last weekend in another thread. im still looking for a nicer background. Plus, the car settled another 1/8-1/4 inch since these pics. Im loving it.

I didn't even think of that about the wheels. I should at some point get some VW center caps instead of the audi ones. Doesn't really bother me, but some do scratch their head at it. :)

Oh and I just started thinking about the Kamei grill and upper eye lids. I HATE YOU GUYS. :p

hi nikoz1200,

Why does your Passat have a GERMAN, Frankfurt originated number plate
installed at the front ? Have we invaded Florida ? Did I miss something ?

perhaps i've been too busy watching another invasion .... :D

Weil Ich ein Frankfurter bin, und das sich halt so gehoert, oder ? :)

In Florida, we are only required to have a plate on the rear, so we can put anything we want on the front bumper. So, I had a FFM plate made a few years ago in Germany... notice the matching dealer frame from Frankfurt?

Hey, i appreciate that you are not refusing to be proud of your origin.
What did you drive out of GER ? Love, money, the weather, the SPD ? :)

... noticed the matching dealer frame from Frankfurt?
of course ... but for a 100% genuine look, your plate lacks the "Siegel" of
Hessen and the TÜV-sign.

btw:
nice wagon, nice rims. How much is it lowered ? ( in mm )

I was 7 when we moved to America... didn't really have a choice. I go back several times a year to see my family now, and it's hard to imagine living there again. Especially after being in Florida this whole time. Can't beat the weather here (btw 84 degrees today :)

I need to get some TUV and Hessen stickers. Of course getting the real ones is out of question. Anyone know where to get replicas?

It lowered about 45mm. Just right.
