Hey guys,

It's been so long since I have been here!!!!!! Hope everyone (and their cars) are doing well.

I noticed that my antenna is starting to peel, so I'd like to replace it with a stubby one. I read some posts here, and everyone seems to be divided on which one to pick! I like the look of the Sharan, but I don't want to spend that much if the reception is crappy.

I noticed Hillside Imports sells a "slightly thicker Audi TT style" antenna for 30 bucks. Would reception on that be better than the Sharan? I saw eBay has a bunch of stubby antennas--has anybody tried those? I'm more hesitant about going that route just because I want to get one with the correct threading. The Honda 2K Enfig looks cool, but I would like something smaller.

I have the honda 2k from enfig and it fits great and the reception is just as good as the oem that came with the car.

If you do a search for sharan on EBAY, there is a guy that sells aluminum sharan like antennas. Thats where i got mine. Only $20 and i didnt even lose that much reception :thumbup:

i had noticable loss with the sharan. the freedom design has better reception.

It also depends where you live, i barely hear a difference in reception with no antenna at all :lol: , but i live in Atlanta so the signals are pretty strong to begin with :thumbup:

usually, the signal starts to fade in mountanous areas for me.

My experience is that reception with this antenna is better than with the OE antenna :thumbup:

S2000 antenna. I had the TT style antenna from Hillside and noticed signal degradation within the metro area of Grand Rapids. With the S2000 I have had no problems in the metro area.
