Hi guys..

Long story short i bought an armrest from a salvage yard and the connections for cigarette lighter that is on the back of the armrest where cut. It isn't something that i want to necessarily do but why not. My question is Where can i get power so i can wire up the cigarette lighter on the back of armrest.

Thanks in advance :)

I would go with.... the existing cigarette lighter wiring. ;)
I'm a little bit noob about wiring. Which wiring are you talking about ? The front cigarette lighter ? Because i had a non armrest console and I installed the complete console with armrest. As you know the console without armrest doesn't have a cigarette lighter on the back so doesn't have wiring that go there. I hope i was clear mabey my English is a little bit bad :) Cheers

I'm guessing you have looked for the wiring already even though you didn't have a lighter in the back? Many times the wiring is there for accessories even if your car didn't actually come with them. It might be under the carpet.

If it was me and the wire isn't there I would run separate +/- wire from the fuse box to where the lighter socket will be and connect it there.

Guys thanks for your opinions. I wanted to ask you about Car Interface. Now i rememberd that when i got old console out under there was Car Interface. I know that is for car phone but when i got the car only the phone charger or that thing where phone stand i can't remember the name for it now. So i took it away and now car interface is there for nothing. Does anyone know can i get power from Car Interface wiring ? Should i connect wires from that to cigarette lighter ?

Thanks in advance :)

I don't know anything about the interface.

Do you want power all the time, only when it's running or do you want power in the acc. mode? Depending on how you want it powered a simple test light is all you need. I would assume one of the interface wires is a power leed. You just have to find out which one(with the test light) and see.

Thanks a lot for the advice. In coming days me and a friend will tackle this issue because i will but a couple of speakers in back (Factory didn't put them) also some LED lights on footwells so electrical work and will have the time to find the power for cigarette lighter too. I will post some photos from the work and finish product. :)
Cheers

Just follow the only good advice as provided in posts #2 and #5, this is the normal wiring.
A test light is NOT an acceptable way to check for a suitable connecting point.
The test light will come on the same whether connected to a low or high current circuit.
It will also come on if connected to switched ground circuit, connecting here could cause serious problems.
