Any wheels with a 5x112 pattern and an et35-45 offset will fit, provided the centerbore is the proper size OR they come with hubcentric rings. With the Audi wheels you mentioned, they should bolt right up. Mercedes wheels have the same bolt pattern but have a different centerbore size and bolt diameter. Most aftermarket wheels require hubcentric rings as well.
So, basically, you should be fine. Wheels from the Audi A4, A6, and A8 bolt right up, the TT however, has a different bolt pattern.
You CAN run spacers but dont have to. The stock offset on your OEM wheels is et37, so an Audi wheel with et45 will sit closer in by 8mm, but it will still be ok.
You should get 6-7 turns for each lug. You will need to know with the wheel you are getting requires a ball seat or cone seat lug bolt.
