Actually i have a buddy that may be selling his E30. I think he wants around 3k for it. It needs a little work, but its a great start, its a coupe.

Can't mess with the slide ragtop Notchback as far as class and hotness.

You can't get as much out of a E30 as some of you think.

I wouldn't touch a Corrado with a 80 foot pole.

I would so do the older 7 series, only older than that. Not sure of the model code, but something like a 1984 733i tricked out with a factory replica body kit from Schnitzer or somewhere. Dished BMW rims. Think of the black 733i in the movie "Nothing But Trouble".

The Corrado has been done by everyone and their brother. Same with the MK1 and MK2 Jetta/GTI's. Go different.....

I agree that you should look a little older on the BMW 7 series. Those drive amazing, even with a stock 40 motor.

Have you looked at E28 M5's I think they look sharp and haven't been done that much.

Some of those cars you list are way common, cool, but are you looking for what other people have already done 2000 times?

^ What he said. The only nice thing about that list is you should be able to find any of those cars in good condition without any trouble. You'll be seeing your twin all around though and that's not good for an old project car that you hope to make "unique." An E30 is a nice driver but not a unique and stylish project car.

How about an Alfa GTV?

Or MGB Coupe GT?

Or maybe an original Mini, etc..

Old Celicas fascinate me for some reason. Old Skylines are pretty hideous. Datsun 510's are cool, but somewhat overdone (maybe I hang w/ the Nissan fanbois too much though). 240z, also overdone. SR20DET's fit into just about any of these, so you can get around 350 rwhp reliably. You can turbo a 4A-GZE for some decent power as well (and its stupid light @ 1900 lbs or something).

Did I go way offtopic? Oops.

A 510 has been my dream but just can't find one. GTV was a great sugestion. I did find a nice E28 M5 but he wants a little too much for it but maybe i can talk him down. I love E30's but i kinda want something a little more rare but finding one of these oldies is a problem.

Thanks jordan let me know if you see anything around our area
