I have a 2001.5 B5.5 with the 1.8T at 167k miles, what should I upgrade before doing an APR Stage 1 Tune?

Make sure all preventative maintenance is up to date. See below.

• Timing belt change is most important.
• MAF, intake air temp sensors clean?
• Fairly new spark plugs
• PCV system functioning with no oil leaks up top?
• Axle boots ok?
• When was the last trans fluid change?
• Brakes in good shape? (you go fast, you need to stop fast)
• No CEL?

You do need an upgraded diverter valve. common ones are below.

• Audi 06A145710NKT AKA, the 710N from the 225hp Audi TT 1.8T
• Forge Motorsports 007 or 008 diverter
• APR R1 diverter

Those are the main ones.
