I need to change the front brake pads on my 2002 VW Passat 4 motion W8 AWD. I just need to know what size Torx bit I’ll need. And also a step by step “How to” would be great!

Be sure to get a piston retractor which can rotate the piston clockwise (left and right sides are NOT mirror images in this regard0 while pushing it in. This is essential for the rear brakes.

We have the caliper piston tool available if needed:

It will work for compressing both the front and rear pistons. As noted above, the rear needs to be turned and compressed at the same time.
