Here's mine:

Anybody who's ever had to replace ball joints on an older car knows it can be a real pain in the neck. My B5.5's wheel bearing went, so I had to pull the steering knuckle to press out the old bearing and press in the new one, and since I'm doing one side, I might as well do the other as well... Except the upper ball joints separated in the process, and since the head of the pinch bolt sheared off, I can't get it out without an immense amount of work. So right now, my car is sitting on jacks with no front hubs or suspension.

Today, my hometown's street department decided to start working on repaving the street that I live on. Tomorrow.

So, at a moment's notice, I had to go rent a tow dolly, and move the car around the block to get it out of the paving crew's way.

Except for one thing... I have no way to securely mount the front tires to the car. I had no choice but to simply rest the sub-frame directly onto the dolly.

Nearly tore the front bumper cover clear off in the process. I love this car so much, and I just wanted to cry watching this happen.

Hindsight is always 20/20, they say. If I was thinking ahead, I could have just taken the bumper cover off before even setting it on the dolly.

I would set the car on 2x4s at the jacking points, securing the car by the towing hook. And move it ever slowly.
I hope you didn’t bend the subframe.

The most annoying thing that could happen with those cars is stripped / rusted bolts and nuts.
I spent almost a day trying to remove one transmission pan bolt. It was very annoying.
