Thought I'd start a little thread on our other cars (if the Passat isn't your only one) and what we do to them.

My '16 A4 S-line Premium Plus, Sport pkg. and Drive Select Basically a baby S4 with 100 less hp :rolleyes:.

Trying to track down a misfire at light and heavy throttle only a while back. Throttle body cleaning, PCV valve and then finally found the plugs were bad. Got red top coils for the hell of it.

Recently did an S4 front brake upgrade (didn't need the calipers, just the carriers, but they look better)

Decided to try a red color tint and also had to match the rear unpainted ones to the front. Looks like cherry Dr. Pepper in the right light. Not crazy about it. Thinking about another color soon.

I thought my A4 stopped well with stock size rotors, but stepping up to 345mm from the S4, your eyes about pop out of your head when you toss the anchor out.

Our Tiguan has 340mm (13.4") front rotors stock and they work great, even with the single piston. Oddly, they are larger than the Atlas front brakes by 5mm (and fit under 17" wheels).
The rear are 11.8, which are larger than the OEM B5 front rotors (11.3").

All right, I'll bite.

Here's one of my other vehicles.
I moved it from one parking space to another to make it look like I drive it once and a while.

Installed the rest of my Eurocode goodies on the Mk7 finally. Who says WFH is unproductive? Rear end links, turbo muffler delete, rear strut bar. If you have an MQB platform car I have to say their front and rear strut bars are amazing. Especially the front, it added a level of steering feel and rigidity that was sorely lacking from the car.

Got a car wash for the Tiguan after it's been sitting in the driveway for 2 months while I had the Passat in for work.

I am once again asking for your brass fixtures...
Once again? Seriously?
I purchased this truck from some guy who purchased it from some other guy.
Sorry man, I don't even know if that place is in business anymore.
I have since sprayed the sides white so the name is all covered up.

Changed the oil on RAV4 today. Man is that a dumbass design. Plastic filter housing was on so tight I had to use a 1/2" breaker bar to crack it loose.
0W-20 is the spec from Toyota. I consider myself in a severe climate (even though it's getting a bit cooler right now) so I opted for 10W-30. Holy cats what a difference! The engine is quiet now!
Even the wife noticed the change.

VW now has plastic housings on nearly all cars. Luckily, it was easy to remove last time I tried it. I need to change the oil, but it's only been 4K miles in the last 18 months. The Tiguan is also specced for 0W20 and people who changed to a higher viscosity reported less engine noise too. I might look for a low SAPS with slightly higher viscosity oil, as the oil temps are pretty severe on road trips and it rarely gets below freezing here (apart from a week Feb this year). Less noise would not hurt.

Bought a locking gas cap for my 17foot Chevy box truck. With the price of gas headed north as quickly as it is, gas theft will start becoming a thing here before too long.
