Water Pump - Any Quality Brands Besides OEM?

Water pump went out on me the other week... luckily it didn't seize... but it did take the timing belt with it.:banghead:
After cleaning all the roller bearings from the engine compartment, I've been looking for a decent brand of water pump. Any recommendations? It seems the OEM pump on ECS is a good deal (with the $70 refund for the core), but before I dump $80, I wanted to get some input from the more seasoned Passat owners.
This will be the last part I put on this car before I sell it.

EDIT: Please don't suggest Cardone. I have had a horrible experience with one of their distributors for my '92 F-150.

My first OEM water pump from the factory lasted 75K miles, still going strong when I had the TB changed. My second water pump was non-OEM. Lasted 22K miles before leaking. Guess what brand my 3rd water pump was?
Graf, Meyle, Valeo, Pierburg and Hepu are all quality OEM brands.
The saleri water pumps are have been known to fail early for this engine. They had been included in the blauparts kits. I dont know if they still are.
saleri ... have been known to fail early
Unfortunately, typical of many Italian automotive parts manufacturers.
Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'll look into those.
On RockAuto it says "Without Cover" on all the Valeo... what does that mean?
^Dunno. I have used Graf from Italy. Never a failure, but a bad o-ring made me replace one after 40K

Hold on... took the timing belt with it? If you mean that the belt broke while the engine was turning, there's more problems than just the water pump.

Belt didn't break. When the bearings on the pulley failed, it made the pulley start to rotate incorrectly and it frayed the outside of the belt.
Anyone have experience with Uro Parts brand?

Whew, that was close. Then you just need the new belt and water pump.

Don't know, but they sure are cheap. About $32 at autohausaz vs. $60 for Graf. I've got a Graf on my Audi 2.8.
