had a similar issue with my car. I would get water on the passenger side only after a good florida down pour. It was the sunroof drains. I removed the cowl cover and wiper arms, cleaned all the old leaves and gunk from the cowl and snipped off the end of the drain lines, which only have a little slit for the water to pour out. No problems since.

My friend has a older Audi 100 his cowl drains were plugged, causing the cowl to fill with water and making to sunroof drains to back up and flood the cabin. Unfortunately the cars ECU is located under the passenger seat on the floor board which fried because of the water.

Thanks for the reply, i messed with the sunroof drain a bit , but couldn't really see where it comes out. i looked on the door hinge?
when it got wet the first time, i did take the clips off the cowl around the windshield and got the long thin vacuum attachment and got a bunch of leaves out( we have two big oaks in the frt yard above driveway!!) but this time it got wet after car wash just the floor pillar was dry unlike the last time when everything was wet? love the car , hate that there is always something needs doing on it.

Call up the dealership and ask them if you could use their sunroof drain cleaner tool and you could probably do it on the spot.

And that is where the drain is. I had this problem before also. Just be lucky you dont have to do the rear drains. They are located in the rear wheel wells. Have to remove the wheels and liners to get to them.
