You can get .5" from the 1BE suspension from VW. You can get .75 from H+R OE, but they will drop more over time to about 1.25".

So which ones are the best for the long haul? Looking to maintain the installed height as long as possible without a crappy ride. Thanks for the reply!!

I would go with the 1BE longhaul. They average .5" drop. The other makers claims are usually on the conservative side and the drop ends up much more.

I had them on my sedan years ago and really liked the improved handling. Contact Richie at Autobarn VW for the best deal. 847-392-6300.

Thanks for the heads up. Going from Olds Aurora so ride is an issue with the drop. Trying to have the best of both worlds... haha! So the Longhaul is the one to use???

Longaul as in long-term, not a product name. Most springs will sag a little over the years and the drop ends up lower. The 1BE has the least amount of drop to start with.
