The toureag has a V8 badge on the trunk.
The Passat has a W8 badge.
now, does VW build 2 different engines, or do they just name them summtin diffrent for the two cars?
I was at the stealership today and found out the toureag is available with a v6 and a diesel V10. I didnt know they built a 10 cyl motor. the brocure says it puts out 550 ft/lbs of torque! with 23mpg!

V8 is just that a V8, the W8 is like two V4s stuck together.

Look that sticker on the V10 turbo toureg next time you are at the dealer. As much as I love VW's I could never see spending that much on one or a phaeton either.

the torauge v8 is the audi 4.2 L V8 i believe, and the W8 is the VW 4.0L 72 degree engine, basically two v4's joined together.

it kinda makes me happy this is how the W8 was born, cause thats how the viper V10 was born, and no one complains about that engine
