Yup.

I've been to a few members houses over the years. PZ's place twice. ylwagon one time and Steve in Chicago one time.
Also went to another member's house down here in AZ. He gave me a carload full of parts for free! I feel guilty I can't remember his name right now.
Met a few members in public places for trade and parts sales.
Had a few guys from up in the Milwaukee, WI area come to my house back when I lived up there.
Before I joined though, that was probably the best time for meet ups.
Snorkfest, Waterfest, Tail of the Dragon and then there's the EPIC meet up at PZ's house.

I've had multiple gatherings at my house and several more in local parks back in the early to mid 2000's. We used to have BBQ in the park and would get 10-12 cars at a time.
I hit Snorkfest twice, 1700 miles away, but I was in the area at the time (100 miles away). I missed out on AA's meet in Detroit as someone didn't want to go 200 miles out of the way for it (400 RT). We spent a day with Rusty in ABQ back around 2006-2007. I've always enjoyed the meets. I had fun on the drives that I used to join (Audi, Subaru, and even BWM). We had one Passat drive in Austin that brought in people from Dallas to Houston and featured a Passat Wagon Whambulance.

I'm re-posting this information, as it looks like the post was closed couple of months ago:
The insurance company totaled my W8 Passat wagon after my daughter rear ended someone with it.
Before they towed it away, I did manage to salvage a few parts out of it that folks here might need.
1. Monsoon radio.
2. Rooftop antenna.
3. Retractable cargo bed cover.
These parts should fit any b5.5 series Passat, with the exception of the cargo bed cover of course, which is just a wagon thing.
Message if you're interested in any of these three parts and we'll work out a deal.
