I am new to the VW fold and was wondering why VW specifies 35/44 cold f/r tire P. The tires are the same size, it is front wheel drive. I was a little surprised to see they recommend such P difference f/r. Or am I misreading the specification on the label in the door jamb?

What are you running on your late model 1.8T with 195/65-R15 tires (best compromise wear and handling)?

Car is a 2004 B5.5 Passat 1.8T, 5 speed.

Thank you.

32 psi, f & r, '03 Variant.

At least on my year, I think those pressures are for carrying a fully loaded vehicle, at high speed. I think the placard on the gas cap calls for something like 28 psi (?), at half load and conventional US speeds. It's really a low pressure.

I run 33/33. Just like the 33 better than 32 when I set the little dial on the pump.
