Vogtland Sport or H&R Sport W/ Bilstein Sports 6512, 6542 - Early perch fit on 6512?

I have searched for days and have found lots of information that seems most is from 2004-2008.

So I am asking for more specific and up to date experiences and knowledge! Thanks.

I have an 11/99 2000 model Passat V6 30v GLS FWD with a high vin.

I have a Meyle 12 piece HD kit to replace the front end and Bilstein 6512 and 6542 Sports.

I am running 225/45/17 on GTI rims images.jpeg

I have seen many pictures with the H&R Sport springs and they seem to have an issue with the front sitting too high and the few pictures I have seen with the Vogtland seem to sit more even or the front sits lower.

I would prefer the front to sit lower then the rear and have been looking at the possibility of changing the lower spring perch to make this happen.

My questions are:

Can the early vin spring perch fit on the 6512? - This would allow for the front to sit lower by how much from the high vin spring perch's?

What is your experience with the Vogtland Sport springs and or the H&R Sport Springs with Bilstein Sports? -Ride quality, bottoming out issues, Handling, Stance.

Anyone run springs up front with out the packing to give it a little lower stance? - what are the cons of this?

Are their other springs you would recommend to give the correct stance?

Should I plan on cutting the front strut and rear shock bump stops to prevent bottoming out? - If so how much?

What spacers will I require front and rear to have the rims sit flush to the fender lip.

I plan to get 18s at some point and time and what is the best offset and width front and rear for it to not require spacers or what is your advise, or cons on 18s.

Thanks for your time and advise!

Okay found these threads on the bump stops.

Found these threads for the spacers.
http://www.passatworld.com/forums/55-wheel-tire-forum/246004-17-mkv-gti-wheels.html (This one suggests 20mm on the rear)
http://www.passatworld.com/forums/4...iscussion/312473-07-gti-wheels-98-passat.html (The last post on this one quoted "Stock bolts should be 27mm and OEM wheels use a ball seat bolt. If running a 15mm spacer you would want a 42/43mm bolt and if using 20mm spacers a 47mm bolt. The OEM wheels from the Mk5 will also use a ball seat bolt.")

As for the Vogtland Springs.
http://www.passatworld.com/forums/4...ion/168317-500-what-mods-do-i-get-2-8-v6.html (This quote sold me on the Vogtland springs "I had Neuspeed Sport Springs and was never happy with the drop since day on. I would not recommand them to anyone, if they want a lowered look. Thats why I would suggest Vogtland. Nice drop and stiffer then the average aftermarket spring.

Talk to Mike at PureMS, he is the one that told me about the Vogtland's being stiffer then most of the springs out there.")
