Every year a small winery ( Botham Vineyards ) in WI puts on a vintage car show (last year I also posted some pictures from our trip). A different manufacturer is featured each year. This year's feature was Ford. If you live within 6 hours or so of Madison, WI (MN, WI, IL, IA) this is a terrific show that makes for a great road trip and weekend getaway - great back roads (only downside is that the show is on a Sunday - vs. Saturday).
Anyway, the following are a few photos from the trip:
One of the most beautiful cars ever produced (pics don't do it justice. I dig the doors) - 1954 Kaiser Darrin:
1934 Brewster Town Car (Breswter designed bodies for Rolls Royce until the depression. They then built their own cars using a stretched Ford chasis...this is the result. Very cool):
1929 Ford Racer
Sleeper street rod. This old Caddy has a modern undercarriage!
This is a replica...:
...This is not (289 - raced and signed by Phil Hill):
...neither is this (427):
4th at Le Mans in 1991 (Jaguar XJR12):
Not your average GT40 (1966 Le Mans winner - est. value only ~$5M!):
