I can't help, but I just wanted to say that I'd rather have Lamborghini doors, personally.
HPA motorsports has a kit for a couple grand i think.... but only for mk4's maybe
I think he meant gullwing doors which would cost a lot more than scissor doors as they would require more modification to tth door itself and the body than just scissor doors that pretty much replace just the hinges. For that kind of money, I personally would go for suicide doors, which I don't think any ricer has :D because even though I am young, I am old-school at heart 8)
do they have kits that make them the real thing, so that you dont have to pull the door in when you drop it down to close it?
and not to sound prissy, but is this accepted in the vw community?

All door kits will require the door to be opened a few inches, and then lifted. I don't see a way of it being exactly like lambo (with them going directly up like your talking about), cause the angles won't alowe it.

As for being "accepted in the VW comunitly, i don't think it should matter. Build your car to your liking, not anyone elses. Though i don't like the look of lambo doors on a Passat (or any car with a door frame), to each his own. It would defently be differnt. I think those doors look better on a celica, eclipse, 350Z, or any other car with a longer, framless door. Just my opinion though.

Are you retarded or just kidding? lol that is a shitic, i mean civic
Dear lord..that orange Passat is fugly!!! What the hell is up with that seat? I am sure you would have great peripheral vision with that thing. Not to mention great shoulder checking ability. :thumbdow:
ok all

so anyway, this is the worst idea i brought up, and it was all cause of my brothers ford Exporer. I looked his cars forum up and there it was a explorer with lambos, how wierd is this. i just wanted to see a pic of a passat with it on there, i think it should be banished from the VW community, expect for on golfs!
i know its kinda of sick but i like that sliding door in the back

it would be amussing to see if they could have the front one slide forward like that for some type of weird suicide doors

LOL. You really think that car gets driven on the street? Its a show only car. Most it probbly ever gets driven is from the garage, to the trailer, to the show, and vis-versa. I thik the center mounted seat is kinda coo. Is it practcal? NO, but when your building a show car, and go all out, practicality, doesn't com e into play.
orangey is fuggly! and the center steering would be crazy to control!
How much do you want to spend? Larry from Bodywerks will probably be able to fabricate something for you, but to get it done right, it will not be cheap...I'm taking a shot in the dark, but Larry will charge you at least 3k to get it done. He does good work, but be prepared to have to wait a while, since he likes to take his sweet time.

One more thing, lambo doors do not belong on a daily driven car. Unless done extremely well, most doors will sway in the wind whenever they are open. The hinges for these doors get damaged pretty easily, and theres always the possibility of the door not fitting right, water leaking in, door not opening wide enough for you to get in and out of the car, etc...
