Well let me say I was thanking you out loud today. I found that broken line off that EGR or what ever it is. it was kinked up under it. As I dug a round I pulLed on it and it popped up. FIXED. THANKS AGAIN.😃

I have a 2003 Passat timing belt broke. I pulled a head off of a car and after inspection the exhaust valves are rusted. I’m trying to decide what to do.
My question is should all the valves be closed when I’m on tdc on the cam?
I've had a few starting problems the other day. Took longer than normal to fire, and sometimes took more than 1 turn of the key. The CEL code was both banks CPS malfunction but I failed to write down the exact codes.. It started up fine today. I know the timing is OK.
