1.8T? I don't remember seeing much here, but the B5/B6 Audi Forums have a few Vacuum Simplification DIYs on the same motor. Either on Audizine or Audi World.

Either on Audizine or Audi World. So yes I've used the search bar and did find a great write up on how to replace them. I couldn't find if there was a way to clean them up and maybe simplify what's there into less. So that's what I'm here for now. Anyone know anything about this topic? Obviously I see that there are check valves and such on certain hoses, but I don't wanna not run components. I just wanna make it look nicer and have a lil less spaghetti on the motor. Same for sai and EGR, I don't live in an area where these things influence my yearly rego, so I'd like to get rid of them as well if possible.
Side note, I'm still looking for parts or links to sites that have any kind of aftermarket support for upgrades, I'm aware of 42 draft and 034, but they don't have exactly what I'm after, so anything beyond them is great!!
I did see the audizine thread on it. Does look to be about the only thing I can find. Was hoping to find someone who had done it first hand.1.8T? I don't remember seeing much here, but the B5/B6 Audi Forums have a few Vacuum Simplification DIYs on the same motor. Either on Audizine or Audi World.
Maybe start with the big pieces you want to clean up and we can whittle them down from there . I say that because a lot of what goes on is controlled by vacuum solenoids. The ECU is picky. If the ECU does not see a change in operation from a commanded solenoid operation, it can affect other parameters and even set a CEL.I did see the audizine thread on it. Yeah I'd say that's pretty friggen epic! My wife's V6 could prolly use that tidy as well lol. Hers is a decent runner tho. If you ever dig up that schematic tho!I've always wanted to get rid of that mess (mass) of vacuum hose crap on the back of the V6 motor.
Somewhere buried on my computer, years ago I designed up an aluminum manifold block that still utilized all the solenoids but routed the hoses in a tidy manner.
Even went so far as to take that clunky plastic PCV hose that snakes across the whole top of the engine from bank 1 valve cover to back left corner, I whipped up a prototype piece that goes straight to the back of bank 1 and then back accross the motor. Way shorter, cleaner.
My problem is I never executed on this design improvement. Probably could of made a crap ton of money over the years.
