Hey guys. Just bought a 2004 1.9tdi Highline and brought her home last night. Everything seems fine other than when I unlock the car, the boot pops open. Does anyone know what could be causing this or where I should start to try and correct it?

Originally I thought the key remote might be accidentally triggering the boot release as well, but it happens even when I manually unlock the car using the key in the door. As soon as I unlock the car, the boot releases.

Thanks for any input! :)

Corroded CCM and/or wiring; Driver's door module (the window motor) funky.
Or (and, this is actually pretty likely), the CCM was replaced, and with one that didn't come from a B5.5 (MkIV Golf, perhaps.) It can be recoded (more like reprogrammed) - but, you'll need a laptop with a serial port, a serial KKL cable, and a copy of VDS-PRO or EasyCCM to do it.

Sounds good.
If you can get your hands on a way to run EasyCCM or VDS-Pro against the car, post up the values that you have in addresses 04361-04363, 04352-04354, and 04370-04372.
