Your computer's hard drive is probably out of free disk space and the software cannot write to it. The encoder by default writes everything to your hard drive. In the Music Manager, go to Options, CD Encoder and you can change the base directory for encoded songs to another drive (if you have one). Otherwise you just have to delete something to free up some disk space.
