Hello Everyone,

I'm a new user to this forum, but have been posting to the Audi group for a while now. I appreciate everyone's knowledge here, so I wanted to reach out about previous or current experience with tire sizes.

I've just purchased a '10 B6 Passat (attached) and getting ready to do a bunch of work to it. Will go Unitronic 2+ with a K04 Turbo, Suspension (H&R Cup kit vs. Koni FSD/Eibach?), Intake, Manifold, Turbo back exhaust, and tires/wheels. I've heard various comments about 18" vs. 19" tires/wheels, so wanted to get some first hand knowledge with some that have done this before please.

Certainly the 19"s will look better, but if they are going to jar my teeth every time I go down the road, maybe that's not the best option? Also the H&R Cup kit vs. Koni FSD/Eibach, are there any opinion about that? My wife has a '10 wagon (attached) with the optional VW Sport Suspension/18" Budapest Wheels, and we like the look and ride of that.

If rough ride and tire cost are not a big concern, then choose 19's.

Quick Update to my earlier post....

Quick update.... The modifications are done and are really great! Having a blast with the car. I really like the Uni Tune, the power curve is strong and consistent. Used a CTS CAI, Forge Blow off in addition to the other already mentioned stuff. I'm going to have to add a differential to help get the power down. Ended up going with a Vogtland Coilover kit after much reading and deliberation. I really like the ride and stance (see pictures, links below). Went with 18" vs. 19" and glad I did, our roads here are terrible.

My G-tech meter says 0-60 is 5.0 flat letting the DSG shift itself in sport mode (when it hooks up), this is down from the mid 6sec range when stock. Not quite Golf R quick, but getting close...
