... Ive decided to tint my tail lights on the weekend.

I found that Nite Shade or whatever its called down here at a car accessories shop but left my wallet at work (d'oh!) so ill buy it tommorow.

How many of you all have used it yourselves? How does it turn out? Any do's and dont's you'd like to share before I kill my lights? :D

Did you need a clear coat and if so what did you use?

Thanks guys!

just use lite coats.

I am going to tint, but plan on doing it GTI style and only tinting the turn signal strip..

IF I don't like it.. I will put my spare tail lights on

I used the nite shade and did it last weekend. I just cleaned them with lacquer thinner and then isopropyl alcohol.
I just dusted it the first time and let it sit for a few minutes, then went over the whole thing two more times.
One time I screwed up (drip) and the stuff came off no problem with the thinner.
The more coats, the darker it is, so you can experiment.
One can goes a long way, I coulda done two more sets if I wanted to.
I did not use a clear after... Instead I waited a few days and then waxed them.
Me and rattle can clear dont get along.
