Well I got the mod bug and it has bit hard! Nice that mods and upgrades to the engine are so much cheaper than my old car saab 9-3 aero.
Here are the cosmetics I have done:
Smoked the bright orange turn signals because I could not justify the price on buying the blacked out after market ones.
Blacked out the grill and cleaned off the badges in the back,
And as of yesterday got a local shop to color match the rims.
Excuse the dirtiness can only keep it clean for about a day without all this Texas pollen turning it green.

Just put on a new set of 245 Hankook V12s really ride nicely and sticks pretty good as well.
As far as internals go I have not done anything worth bragging about, replaced my coil packs and spark plugs to hopefully cure an engine shutter.
Getting it ready for a tune but am not sure what I am going with but plan on researching the forum to see what the best tune is. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. But before I tune I am going to replace my pvc and diverter valve because I think my engine shake is coming from that. Thought the sparks and coil packs would cure it but it was not the case. I am feeling a loss of boost at around 2800 to 3200 rpms and it is very significant in 3rd. But a tune is coming I miss the pull my aero had. Hopefully all get some springs on it to give it a nicer ride height.
Thanks for looking and I also want to thank all the people on here this forum is a huge reason why I got my Passat!

Did u black out the grill yourself or did u buy one. I cant find a black oem so I am curious. Also if u did it yourself what did u use thanks.

I did it myself because I wanted to have the badge and could not find one. I used 600 grit on all the chrome then cleaned it thoroughly and used plastic black semi gloss two cans of that then one can of clear coat all over. Be careful with that to spray it evenly because it shows where you do not. Also if you are a stickler like me avoid any dirt or touching it, just assume it is wet and sticky for a long time... made that mistake had to respray it all over again.

Thanks bud. I have a buddy who is a professional window tint specialist and he is going to wrap all the chrome in carbon fiber. If it doesn't turn out perfect then I'm am going to do exactly what you did. Nice looki ride by the way. I think its close to mine. I have 2007 6 speed with the sport package. Mines red tho.

You have the exact look that I want to do with mine, except my overall color is the Mocha Brown. But I want to black it out just the same. Very nice Passat. Love how the chrome emblem stands out amongst all the black.

The black out on a black car looks great! And I love the work you done to have the badge than going badge less.
Just to share experience on the tire. My used passat come with Hanhook V12 in stock size(235/45-17), the tire is so noisy at about 1/2 way of its life. It sounds like the wheel bearing noise when slowing down. and my winter tire is more quiet. Just to share so other brother can aware of.
