As of two days ago, my 2004 wouldn't start anymore. One scenario I can come up with is that the timing belt slipped due to a failing pulley and the engine is seized up. I could be wrong, but...that probability is haunting me.
No, I am not trying to hijack your thread.
Just that I am saying that I know that pain. Feels like a punch in the gut. Regret. Wishing things could have turned out differently--how could this happen? kind of thinking.
But then again...isn't that how I felt about all my other cars that I kept until they died or weren't worth fixing any more?
Maybe...this is exactly part of the experience of having a car.
To be expected! Let's not be dramatic, let's not be shocked, we knew it would play out like this in the end one way or another.
Don't know if that helped any...but...maybe...my 2004 will be on the stairway to heaven with your 2004 (I'll know Monday).
At least you are getting a check--I envy that situation.
