So I have just de-sludged my motor, replaced the turbo and did a timing belt change and all associated bits.

Now I want to run oil through the motor, not drive just get motor up to temp., and then change the oil right away. I am thinking this might be a good "rinse" of the engine before I start driving it. I have some "cheap" Synthetic blend oil, that I could use, but am wondering if this is not advised. My thinking is that the turbo will not get hot, so i don't have to worry about the oil breaking down during this "rinse."

Should I be drug out back and beat with a Fram oil filter for this logic?

Is this procedure even worth the time, or is it a dumb idea and I should just put in VW approved 502 oil, and drive like normal?

Thanks.

Meh, I used conventional oil to flush the engine after I did the pump in my fiancee's. Then I drained it, replaced the filter and put synthetic back in.
