Hey Folks! I've done some searching on this issue, and found some similar issues but nothing quite the same. Since the weather started getting real cold a few months ago, my 2000 Passat 1.8T AWM (pretty sure AWM..) has been getting some minor stumbling issues when going mid- to mid-high throttle at lower RPMs, like 1800-2600 range. I figured it just needed a new air filter and oil change and whatnot, so I brought it in for a quick lube and whatnot (since we live in an apartment, no driveway). Put in a new air filter myself in the street (OE paper replacement), cleaned the leaf filter and such, and nodded like a boss. However, now the stumbling issue is occurring at much lower throttle, anything above 1/3 throttle and the car will not accelerate. Just trips over itself stumbling and jerking, as if misfiring or flooding (power comes and goes in and out very quickly), and acceleration is non-existent. Under 1/3 throttle everything is a dream, smooth as butter, and idle is perfectly smooth.

My question to everyone is: where should I start on this? My gut says fuel pump or MAF, but no CEL light is on. I'm going in to check for pending codes on Friday, but until then i might get a jump on it if someone's seen this particular issue before. Thanks in advance for any help!
