Hi Guys,
I went to my local auto factors to get a new set of plugs for my 97 aeb engined 1.8t,the plugs that were in the car had two electrodes but the guy gave me a set with 3 on them,he reckons that the car runs better on them, they are bosch part no f7ltcr in my haynes manual it recommends f7dpp222t,anyone ever used these? Im a bit concerned as the gap on these is 1mm as opposed to .7,,,,,,,
can anyone advise me on this?

Thanks guys

Steve

Above post is proof that not all spark plugs come correctly gapped.

Now that that's out of the way, if your engine is stock, I recommend OE plugs with a copper electrode gapped at 0.028 inches for the AEB code 1.8T only.

Platinum electrode plugs do not transfer heat out of the C.C. as fast as Copper electrode plugs do, thus my recommendation.
