Am changing out my spark plugs today and wanted to confirm the torque setting for:

1. spark plugs?

2. access plate/cover?

Thanks,

access plate? what access plate?

As for the spark plugs, it usually gives you torque on the plug package. The Bosch plugs I just installed spec'd 19ft/lbs. I believe the Bentley specs 13ft/lbs though.
The access plate is the individual cover over each pluf with 2-5mm hex head bolts.

I've got NGK's and there is no mention of torque setting on their box?

Oh, that's the coil pack, not an access plate. I don't believe there is a specified Tq setting for those, it's just hand tight. For the plugs you should be safe with 13ft/lbs.
I think the spark plug torque setting for the 1.8T is 22 ft/lbs. Not sure for V6, but should be very similar as well.
