side panel bumper thingies aren't level

now I haven't seen the passat in person yet, but how much in the side panels the little raised panel bumpers aren't level (or don't look level in pictures) is this supposed to make it look more aggresive? but then when you look at the lines to the sides of the front bumper it doesn't connect right (or not that they're supposed to connect but if they extended the bump to the front of the car there would be absoultly no room)

to me it looks as if the final designer didnt have his paper level when he drew that line.

some things are best simple and IMO that's one of them. to many contrasting lines reminds me, (I hate to say it) pontiac.

can someone photoshop that damn line on the side panel level, it bugs me to no end

It's like a VAG stock price chart or something.

Yo Steve (pun unavoidable), you still selling mini-Klasse kits? I need some for myself and maybe some gifts, too.

That's what I've been saying. It looks like the front was an afterthought or they had 2 seperate teams working. one for the cabin and rear and the other for the engine and front and when it came time to put it together it didn't line up.

Yup, except it might be a little, running low on those. just ad a .com to my username if you've never been, nor tried a microfiber

Parallel lines were just one of the details that made the much more pragmatic design of the B5 so nice. Some of the very early conceptual photochops had the B6 looking more like a well-spanked Phaeton... low, wide, aggro... I guess VW thought it wouldn't have beeen different enough and pretty much abandoned that design language for the B6. MkV Jetta looks much cleaner by comparison, IMO.

Hate to be devil's advocate, but the line that is not level does match the line above the front wheel well.

I will see it in person tomorrow so I'll lett y'all know what I think.

but the line in the front wheel level (or any lines on the front bumper) are level to the ground.

if they wanted to match them up, the should be more "smiley" just in front of the front wheel well, whether it be the black of the front or the side of the bottom grille.
