A (1) off emergency part for a piece of broken down heavy equipment I did on 7/21.

Sorry about the shaky video, was holding cell phone with broken fingers on left hand getting cramps.

Drilling (6) 33mm-(1.299) holes in hydraulic piston.

Finished - Ship it!

End user (customer) had originally requested casting be made to the shape required of the finished part.
Foundry couldn't make it happen fast enough.

Made a couple of hydraulic cylinder end caps with clevis tang. (these are around 12" diameter)

These were made out of solid round bar starting at 13" diameter about 12" long

1st roughing op. From this to...

To this finished. 95 minutes. 67lbs of metal removed.

Finished.

One of my recent endeavors. To actually see the parts you made out in the world is pretty cool.
Most everything I do I have a fairly good idea what it's for and what it goes on, but usually it's just some obscure part that no one ever sees in the final product.

Aluminum die blocks for a vacuum fixture application.

All the 'little holes' are .022 in diameter thru .600 thick material.

A slab of 304SS, 2" thick x 14" wide x 30" long.
Not a very complex piece, but it sure came out looking like jewelry. ;)
